A huge congratulations to all King’s Scouts celebrated at Windsor today — a remarkable achievement that reflects years of commitment, service, and determination.
We’re especially proud here in Chorley to celebrate Jonathan Brocken , pictured today, who achieved his King’s Scout Award and is a valued and familiar face at Chorley District Scouts George Platt Activity Field , Jonathan is a key member of our volunteer team and continues to give back locally, supporting activities, helping maintain and improve the field, and contributing countless hours to projects that benefit young people across the borough.
Jonathan is also completing his Scout of the World Award here at George Platt Activity Field this year — a great example of how international values, community action, and local impact come together right here in Chorley.
At George Platt Activity Field, we’re proud to support young people working towards their Top Awards, whether through Scouting or the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. From volunteering and service opportunities to practical, hands-on projects, the field offers meaningful ways to build skills, confidence, leadership, and teamwork — all while making a real difference in our local community.
However you choose to complete YOUR award, George Platt Activity Field is here to support you.
Well done Jonathan — and to everyone celebrated at Windsor today — be proud of what you’ve achieved, enjoy the moment, and carry those memories and values forward.
