FISHWICK PACT MEETING
Partners and Communities Together.
This evening, the Light Foundation attended the Fishwick PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting, where local residents, community groups, local councillors and partner agencies came together to discuss issues affecting the area, with a particular focus on community safety.
We had the opportunity to speak about the work of the Light Foundation, our work in facilitating cohesive and engaging communties, and the support we provide through our events and outreach activities.
We were also honoured to meet Roger Baines MBE, Chair of LCWF, the neighbourhood watch association for Lancashire. It was a pleasure to discuss the importance of partnership working and the shared commitment to supporting safer, stronger communities.
We will also be attending PACT meetings in other communities in Preston as part of our ongoing commitment to engaging with local residents and supporting stronger, safer, and more connected neighbourhoods.
By contributing to these meetings, we hope to improve community awareness, provide reassurance, and offer a trusted point of contact for those with genuine questions. Through open and constructive engagement, we aim to reduce misconceptions, build confidence between communities, and support efforts to prevent hate-related incidents.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and working together with communities across Preston.
Thank you
