Thank you to the Music for All for making it possible!

Music Anywhere and Dementia Matters in Powys collaborated to offer interactive and enthusiastic live music sessions to people living with dementia in Wales. Their sessions were popular – with 10 to 30 participants joining at any time. Supported by volunteers, the musicians engaged those living with dementia in the group - they used percussion, singing as well as dancing.
🗣️They say: ”Whilst most of the people living with dementia are older, the people supporting them are from a wide age range. The impact of the music - the connection and communication it brings - has been significant for them, building memories and sparking them in the person they care for, too!”
Music is a vital part of dementia therapy: it can help people with dementia express their feelings and ideas, help them remember things they thought forgotten, and improve their overall wellbeing.
