This summer, we’ve loved seeing so many people getting involved in fundraising- especially when it comes with plenty of fun and community spirit!

Here are three fantastic examples from recent Colour Runs:

⭐ Supporting Shelter: Amy ran in aid of Shelter, raising £185 to support the charities work defending the right to a safe home. We awarded a Match-Funding Grant of £185!

⭐ Supporting Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance: A team of Cambian Group colleagues ran in support of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, raising £1,913 to help provide advanced critical care to people when they need it most. Thanks to several team members qualifying for the maximum award, we awarded a Match-Funding grant of £1,400!

⭐ Supporting Longfield Hospice: Mandy ran in support of Longfield Community Hospice, raising £635 to support the charities work in providing compassionate palliative and end-of-life care. We awarded the maximum Match-Funding Grant of £350!

Congratulations to everyone who has taken part in fundraising this summer. Your commitment to supporting good causes is making a real difference.

Our Staff Hardship Fund is here to support CareTech Ltd colleagues and those who have recently left the organisation when they are experiencing, or are at risk of, serious financial hardship.

Whether it’s helping with unexpected costs or making day-to-day living more affordable, the fund provides practical support when it’s needed most.

This isn’t a loan or an advance on wages- it’s there to help ease financial pressures and ensure that those who dedicate their lives to caring for others have somewhere to turn when they need support.

Last year, the Staff Hardship Fund:

⭐awarded 190 grants,

⭐provided £140,785 in funding,

⭐had an average grant value of £750.

When we invest in the wellbeing of our colleagues, we are strengthening the communities they care for every dayđŸ©”

Bustleholme Bears is a volunteer-led community football team supporting boys aged around 15. The group improves the boy’s personal skills, mental health and also strengthens the wider community.

We are pleased to award them with a Community Grant of ÂŁ750 to ensure participation is affordable and that financial pressures do not prevent local boys from taking part.

Partnership Update!đŸ©”

Young Epilepsy have been working with Good Innovation on a research project to better understand the epilepsy journey for children and young people.

The findings reveal significant gaps in support and highlight where meaningful change can make the biggest difference.

One of the most important insights is that school has the single greatest impact on a young person’s experience of epilepsy outside of healthcare. Too many children face misunderstanding, exclusion, bullying and missed educational opportunities because those around them lack awareness and understanding of epilepsy.

Improving epilepsy knowledge and support in schools has the potential to transform outcomes for children and young people living with the condition.

Together, we fund two programmes that are helping to drive lasting change:

⭐The Epilepsy Positive Programme: a comprehensive inclusion initiative, providing training, resources and accreditation for professionals and adults working with children and young people with epilepsy.

⭐ The Epilepsy Inclusion Programme: bringing specialist expertise into schools, developing resources, and delivering training to over 200 teachers and 40 care professionals.

That’s why our partnership with Young Epilepsy is so important. Together, we are exploring opportunities to improve support, inclusion and outcomes for children and young people with epilepsy through shared learning, collaboration and service development.

We are incredibly proud to support the work of Young Epilepsy, helping to ensure that no child with epilepsy is left behind during one of the most important stages of their lives.

We are pleased to award a Community Grant of ÂŁ460 to support a young person in foster care with a passion for musical theatre.

They are currently studying Performing Arts at college and have shown exceptional dedication. This grant will help fund a five-day intensive Musical Theatre course, providing industry- standard training and valuable preparation for future applications to the prestigious Urdang Academy.

We are proud to invest in a young person’s confidence, resilience and skills while helping them pursue their dreams.

⭐‘My name is J, I got put into foster care when I was 6 years old. I had been moved from house to house for a few years until I got placed with my current family who introduced me to dance. When I was younger, I used to be quite hyperactive, I was always moving and throwing myself about wherever I went. My foster mum had a friend who was a dance teacher so she thought of taking me to some dance classes to see if I would enjoy it. I absolutely loved it.’⭐- J

Partnership Update!đŸ©”

We are proud to partner with MAITS to help build a future where children with disabilities in Pakistan and Bangladesh have the support they need to thrive at home, at school and in their communities.

Just six months into the project, we are already seeing meaningful impact:

A five-day, hands-on workshop equipped parents and caregivers with practical skills in communication, safe positioning, nutrition and daily living- helping children build greater independence. So far, these events have:

⭐Empowered 35 parents and caregivers with essential disability support skills,

⭐Reached an estimated 120 family members through shared knowledge and support,

⭐Improved the lives of approximately 60 children with disabilities.

Together, we are creating stronger families, more inclusive communities and brighter futures.
