Noah Mapalo Help Centre (NMHC) is a non profit organisation that started in Portsmouth over 10 years ago with the aim to engage communities to support worthy causes here in the UK and in Africa. Worthy causes such as reducing social isolation, educating and equipping women in Zambia with skills to earn an income, building schools for isolated communities in Zambia, campaigns on period poverty an

d supporting the disadvantaged in society be it on the streets of Portsmouth or in Ghana. Donations are welcome as much as volunteers to help run the various events and projects.

Some of the best community events are the ones that leave you with a full heart, and the URBOND Cultural Festival was definitely one of them.

Noah Mapalo Help Centre spent the day meeting people from so many different backgrounds, sharing stories, celebrating cultures, and learning about the amazing work happening across Portsmouth. These are the moments that remind us why community matters.

Our fundraising games were a real highlight, bringing smiles, laughter, and friendly competition, all while raising money to help tackle period poverty in Zambia. Thank you to everyone who visited our stall and supported our cause. Your generosity will make a real difference to the lives of girls and young women.

A huge thank you to URBOND for creating a space where communities can connect, celebrate one another, and feel at home. We left inspired, encouraged, and already looking forward to next year.
