Congratulations to HR Business Partner Jacob Chalker, our Head Office Employee of the Month for August!

A key member of our HR team, Jacob’s professional and empathetic approach has earned him praise from colleagues across our care services, particularly within Enable and Home Care.

Jacob has continued to progress throughout his time with Agincare, recently completing his CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.

His valuable contribution was also recognised at the Agincare Heroes Awards 2025, where he was named Rising Star of the Year.

One recent nomination said:

“Jacob consistently goes above and beyond in his role. He is always happy to help, no matter how big or small the task. His positive attitude, reliability and dedication make him such a valued member of our team.”

Alongside his role, Jacob also supports Agincare’s social events as the superstar drummer of local Weymouth rock band The Speedway Snails, who have entertained colleagues at many of our functions!

We are proud to announce that Agincare Group Chief Executive Officer, Raina Summerson, has been named in Care Home Professional’s recent Power 30 List, which showcases top-tier directors and senior executives managing care groups in the UK.

The Power 30 list is peer-nominated and recognises exceptional performance over the past year.

Raina’s decades of experience in social care have established her as one of the sector’s leading voices, with regular media appearances, a reputation as a renowned expert speaker, and a dedicated, hands-on leadership role at Agincare for over twenty years.

2026 has seen remarkable growth, including the acquisition of Devonshire Avenue Care Home in Nottingham, the welcoming of our first young person through our not-for-profit Children’s Service, and a strategic partnership with Richmond Council to operate three care homes in the borough.

Now celebrating our fortieth year, and under Raina’s leadership, Agincare continues to grow sustainably, remains family-owned, and most importantly provides long-term reassurance for those we support, their families, our partners, and our incredible 6,000-strong workforce across 200 locations nationwide.

Congratulations to Abu Dwight Conteh, a Live-in Care Worker from our South West service, who has been named Agincare’s Overall Employee of the Month for July!

Abu has been recognised for the exceptional care, companionship and support he has provided to Neill over the past three months, consistently going above and beyond to make a positive difference.

Abu’s manager, Vikki Cottrell, said:

“Abu has shown outstanding dedication over the past three months. He has not only provided excellent care but has also become a wonderful companion and friend to Neill. He has gone above and beyond, particularly during hospital visits and Neill’s recent stays away from home.”

Neill’s family added:

“We just wanted to say a big thank you for everything you have done for our dear son over the past three months. You have not only been an excellent care worker but also a great companion and friend. We really appreciate everything you do.”

🎉 Congratulations to Kelsie Oldland from our Edward Jenner Court Extra Care service in Emersons Green, South Gloucestershire, who has been crowned Agincare’s Overall Employee of the Month for June!

Kelsie has been part of the Edward Jenner Court team for more than a decade. During that time, she has built fantastic relationships with the people who draw on our services and has become a highly valued member of the team.

One tenant shared:

“I am so happy for everything that she does for me. She is such a lovely person.”

Deputy Manager Jayne Fugill added:

“Kelsie demonstrates a high level of professionalism and competence, even in difficult situations. She is a great asset and is well liked by everyone at Edward Jenner Court.”
