More volunteers are needed to cohost Bereavement Friendship groups, to join us as trustees, and to help with social media and funding opportunities. Please get in touch if you can spare 5 hours (max) per month.
Apart from the group support role, you can help from home. Please get in touch if you feel able to contribute.

Are you a person who wants to support those who are suffering?

It's 3 years since I founded Mindset Vitality to help people who are grieving in South Wales. We now have 3 groups running twice per month. Our newest Bereavement Friendship group is in Swansea.

We are seeking volunteer co-hosts to assist with the Swansea group. It runs on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 12 - 2pm. There is also an opportunity in the Neath group which meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays.

Co-hosts must be reliable, have lived experience of grief, and be excellent listeners. (See posted for details).

Training provided: knowledge and skills practice.
Travel expenses paid.

It's has seemed like long winter with all the extreme weather and power cuts we've had. The dark days can be depressing and bad weather contributes to isolation - which is as bad for your health as smoking 15 ci******es every day!

Spring is on the way. Come and join one of our Bereavement Friendship groups in Swansea, Pontardawe, or Neath and meet others who previously felt alone in their grief. We're here to support you!

I'm teaching a group about identifying and managing their feelings and emotions. Learning these skills is a must for empaths.

I really struggled with this when I started nursing at 17. I was caring for several female patients who were paraplegic. I found that I couldn't switch off and felt overly emotional. I couldn't control my feeling. The more cheerful they appeared, the more desperately I felt sadness for their powerlessness.

Since then, I have realised that their minds and spirits were strong and powerful.
And learned to regulate my emotions. I still think about my clients after their sessions, but I know that I am helping. If they cry, I know that I have assisted them to release trapped emotions that needed to be acknowledged and accepted.
