✨ Busy night planned for 1st Rushen tomorrow, with our Beavers meeting first with some new Beavers due to be invested and lots of badges to be given out. Finishing off the evening with the AGM.

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to say Happy New Year to our wonderful Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and their families.

We are so incredibly proud of our 3 Scouts who are heading off to the World Scout Jamboree.

We can’t remember the last time 1st Rushen had members going to the WSJ, we’d love to hear from you if you have any intel!

Well done to all the Scouts from the island going.

We are also so proud of all the young people who applied and weren’t selected. It takes courage to put yourself forward for these things and you are such wonderful young people with many wonderful adventures ahead of you.

Meet our Isle of Man World Scout Jamboree Patrol! 🇮🇲🌍

In 2027, nine Manx Scouts and one leader will be heading to Poland for the World Scout Jamboree!

After a tough selection process in October 2025, these incredible young people earned their place in Unit 3 – Islands, joining Scouts from Jersey, Guernsey and the British Overseas Territories for the adventure of a lifetime.

Over the next 18 months they’ll be busy with training camps, team building, and a huge £35,000 fundraising mission. They’ve already hit the ground running across the island… and we’ve got LOTS more events coming up!

It’s been a super busy and adventurous start to the term for all 3 of our sections! This week Cubs and Scouts met at the MYC scout campsite and did some camp cooking and bushcraft skills
