Dear Mrs. Carr,

As we reach the end of this wonderful chapter together, we simply couldn’t let it pass without expressing our heartfelt thanks for everything you’ve done for Halwin. Your unwavering dedication has transformed our little school into a truly vibrant and welcoming hub, overflowing with smiles and warmth, and we couldn't be more grateful for your exceptional leadership. 🥰

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, has it? However, with your passion and guidance, we’ve navigated through challenges and come out the other side, stronger and more united. The laughter and joy that fill our corridors every day are living proof of the love and support you’ve poured into our community. Your ability to nurture not just our children’s education but also their spirits is something quite special. 🌈

You’ve truly made Halwin feel like a second home for so many of us, and honestly, we can’t quite imagine this place without your warm smile and reassuring presence.

While we will deeply miss you, we promise to carry your legacy of kindness, resilience, and warmth forward. Thank you for believing in us and for instilling in our little ones the values that will guide them throughout their lives.

We are excited to share some wonderful news with all of you! Thanks to the generous donations made in memory of Carole, beloved Granny to Amelia and Aimee, we have been able to purchase two beautiful 8-seater benches for Halwin Primary School. What a fitting tribute to a wonderful woman who loved spending time with her family!

These benches will not only bring joy to the children at school but will also provide a perfect spot for them to sit and chat with friends during break and lunch. It’s a fantastic way to encourage social interaction and foster friendships among our students. Additionally, these benches will offer excellent seating for outdoor learning, allowing our children to enjoy lessons in nature and collaborate in a comfortable setting.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Brennan family for their continued support and for helping us honor Carole’s memory in such a meaningful way. It’s amazing to see how a community can come together to create positive changes for our children. We hope these benches will bring many smiles and memorable moments for years to come.

A huge thank you to Sophie & Peter for your help to put them together this morning.

A heartfelt thank you to the Brennan family—Sarah, Ashley, Amelia, and Aimee—who made a lovely gesture in memory of Sarah’s wonderful mum. In such a difficult time, your decision to ask for donations to Friends of Halwin means the world to us.

Thanks to your kindness, over £500 has been raised for the children at Halwin Primary School. We are truly grateful for your thoughtfulness and support. Carole was a huge supporter of Friends of Halwin, and her spirit will be dearly missed by everyone in our community.

Thank you once again for honoring her memory in such a meaningful way.

Wow! What a fun filled morning we had on our virtual santa run! The weather once again put a stop to outdoor fun but thankfully we were able to use the school hall for a fabulous virtual run!

We are so sorry but the forecast tomorrow does not look like fun will be had if we go ahead with our Santa run! We are postponing until Thursday 18th December!

Our Christmas Fayre will still be taking place tomorrow after school. We have our wonderful team of bakers busy in their kitchens today, Holly is sorting the '6/7' tombola, an awesome Sunday roast hamper with the meat donated by R. J Trevarthen and some lovely games and colouring.

Don't forget there is NO CHOIR tonight. Miss Williams is away.

Also, if anyone would like to donate a lovely Christmas tree to school it would be greatly appreciated and would make the hall wonderfully Christmassy!
