Attending the On Track Health and Wellbeing Event at the Bovington Tank Museum brought together an incredible mix of organisations, community groups and professionals, all focused on improving health and wellbeing across our Armed Forces community.
As the Veteran Ambassador for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care aswell as heading up WRAC Dorset I am very passionate to support these events.

This was a great opportunity to connect with so many like-minded organisations, share experiences, discuss ideas and explore opportunities to work together. 🫡🇬🇧🏅

Veterans coffee and Cake afternoon with speaker and signposting ran by Poole PCN North group of surgeries, held in Broadstone.
All welcome. Please let me know if you can make it so I can let the surgery Lead know. You dont have to be one of their patients. 🫡

Please can you confirm whos joining me on the Remembrance Sunday parade at Poole Park this yaar??
Please see attached, they are looking for veteran helpers and veterans to parade and would love to see more of us gals parade.
The parade will be leaving the cricket pavilion at 10.40hrs.
This year will be very well organised.
Cllr Melvyn Law has been overseeing this with full suppport from Poole town council and BCP.

Book your free tickets for this year's On Track armed forces wellbeing event at The Tank Museum Bovington.

It's taking place on Thursday 8 October from 10am and will offer a welcoming space for people in and around the armed forces community. You'll be able to connect, find support and learn about services available locally and nationally.

On Track is open to serving personnel, veterans, families, service leavers and anyone with a connection to military life. Members of the wider public are welcome too.

Hi Ladies

I've received an email from The Bournemouth, Poole & District Branch, Royal Tank Regiment Association, they are once again running the Poppy stand in the Dolphin Centre, Poole for the RBL- they are awesome these guys. They are more than happy to welcome volunteers from other arms/corps.
They operate between 10-2 because experience has shown that footfall outside of these hours is much reduced and we never really get enough volunteers to run the stall 9-5 without some people doing very long hours for a whole two week spell.
They have asked If any of us from WRAC Dorset members would like to join them.
They told me they receive help from the WRENS Association Bournemouth. Be great if we could help too.
I'm going to help on a Fri my day off.

Please can you pop your name and dates and what shifts you'd like to do. Even 1 hour shifts will help Tony said.
Dates are from Sat 24 Oct to Sat 7 Nov inclusive.
1 hour shifts starting from 10am to 2pm.

Our Sept meet up was full of fun, energy and military comeraderie as always.
We were joined by 3 great chaps who shared a little about what they did.
Thanks goes to Terry Imman veteran who is a director with Chitter Chatter Club who now have over 100 clubs.
Chris Wood promoting the amazing inaugural Poole Military Tattoo, Salute to the Services and Steve Hayes Deputy Mayor of Poole and town cllr for Poole Town Council who shared his background, vision and the roles performed by the mayor, civic duties and the new town council.
All so very interesting and informative. Thank you to our visitors, see ladies its not just females attending. 😁

Our next event is 11 Nov, 6.30pm.
A complementary Cheese & W**e eve courtesy of Barchester Upton Bay, Hamworthy.
A FB event will be created this week, please add your going or pm me helps enormously with nos to the venue. 🫡🇬🇧🦁

The Royal Air Forces Association Club in Wimborne (opposite the Quarterjack Surgery/ chemist) have an event on Saturday 26th September , 1830hrs for 1900hrs start. A talk on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, their vital work and mission.
Cost £6 per head, includes buffet.
There is also a raffle, any prize donations welcome.
Parking is free at Rodways Corner car park.
