As temperatures rise, it’s not just about comfort, it’s about safety. Many of us older and wiser folk don’t feel the heat in the same way as younger people and we are more vulnerable to heat-related health issues.

🚗 What do you think of Car Parking Apps?

Paying for parking should be one of the simplest things we do as drivers. But in today’s digital-first world, it’s become a surprising source of stress and frustration.

According to the RAC, a whopping 4 in 5 UK drivers dislike using parking apps, saying they prefer to pay by contactless card or cash.

The Community Armchair spoke with Maggie the Seaside Baker, who shared her own experience:

“If the only way to pay is through an app, I just drive off. I won’t park there.”

So how is this meant to be an improvement for society? When people are turning away simply because they can’t or won’t use an app. Is it time to ask: Are we designing for everyone?
