Hi all, just a quick update. Hard to think of bad weather as it’s pretty hot here in Tenerife….🤷‍♂️ however back to reality…
Plan is for race to go ahead. If too windy option to start from nearby and use lower river and harbour..will be monitoring weather between now and then and make sure members updated..14 entered so far which is amazing 🤗

Hello all….

It is with regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this years Battle of the Bay.

The main reason for this is lack of numbers. As of close of entry we had 18 participants.

This makes it unviable financially in that the cost to put on the event with safety cover, insurance, prizes etc far outweighs entry price.

Secondly, as a club I believe we have a reputation of providing an exciting and highly competitive event. We need to maintain this for future events.

Speaking of this we are excited to announce that with the backing of GBSUP we will be back hosting one of the National Venues in 2024. Date and race details to be announced but as a thanks to those who supported us this year we will be offering a twenty percent discount should you join us next year.

Refunds to be made in the next few days. Again, apologies, but great things to come 👍👍
