Friends of Pontypool Town

Friends of Pontypool Town Events
We plan, develop, organise and deliver a number of events throughout the year in Pontypool.

Our mission: “Making Pontypool town centre a vibrant, safe and attractive place to live, work and visit”

Our objectives: Events | Tidy Town | Safe Community

What are our aims?
1. We have our regular antiques fairs, food and craft market, Vintage Day and Zombie Dance Off. We want to attract people into Pontypool and to make them feel part of the community so we see them more often.

2. Tidy Tow

n
We have target areas of the town which are poorly maintained and work with groups such as Keep Wales Tidy and Street Scene. We encourage shopkeepers to improve the visual appearance of their buildings and signage. We are starting our Tidy Tuesday campaign to encourage everyone to tidy the area around their place of work or home on a Tuesday for our Tidy Town.

3. Safe Community
We work with the Police, the Council and other partners to tackle anti-social behaviour to make Pontypool a safe place to live, work and visit. We have zero tolerance of anti-social behaviour and we all take on board the responsibility of reporting it.
