The Juno Project www.thejunoproject.co.uk The Juno Project works in schools, and our wider community across West Sussex, supporting young women with wellbeing and mental health.

Our mission is to enthuse, encourage and empower girls and young women. All our work is framed by the question, 'What are your gifts and how will you use them? Our vision is a world where all young women can develop the confidence, self-awareness, and empowerment to reach their fullest potential, share their gifts and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Could you be the person we are looking for to join our board?

We’re looking for a new Trustee to join our board and help us continue making a difference to the lives of girls and young women across West Sussex.

Do you share our passion for empowering young women? Do you have skills, experience and perspective that would help us move forward?

☀️ Have you signed up for our September workshops yet?

We know it is still the summer holidays and you are probably still in holiday mode. We get it… But September is just around the corner!

This September, we have THREE new 12-week workshops for girls and young women aged 10 to 13.

If there’s a young woman in your life who could benefit from a safe, supportive space to build confidence, understand herself better, explore relationships, manage emotions and recognise just how much potential she has, now is the time to think ahead and get her signed up.

Our workshops provide a relaxed, supportive environment where young women can talk, learn, grow and develop practical tools they can take with them into everyday life.

📍 Chichester - starting 10 September: https://tinyurl.com/JunoChichesterNews
📍 Littlehampton - starting 10 September: https://tinyurl.com/JunoLittlehamptonNews

Three locations. Three new groups. Three opportunities to make a real difference to a young woman’s confidence and future. 💛

Places are limited, so please don’t leave it until September.

We're looking for a new Trustee - could it be you?

Our charity is growing, and we’re looking for a new Trustee to join our Board and help shape our future.

We work with girls and young women across West Sussex, helping them build confidence, self-awareness and the tools to create positive futures.

We’re looking for someone with integrity, good judgement, independent thinking and a commitment to our mission. We'd love it if you had finance or fundraising experience, but it's not essential.

What would your minimum commitment be?
- Around 6 online meetings a year
- Half-day strategic planning session.

The role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Full induction and support provided.

Interested? Find out more about the role, including what being a Trustee involves and the skills we’re looking for:

As adults, we often focus on helping young people get organised for September.

New shoes. New blazer. New timetable. But preparing emotionally matters just as much.

Many girls carry worries quietly because they don't want to disappoint the adults around them or they simply don't have the words to explain what they're feeling. A gentle conversation can make all the difference.

Instead of trying to solve every concern, try asking, "What's the bit you're most looking forward to?" followed by, "Is there anything you're feeling unsure about?"

Sometimes feeling listened to is far more powerful than being given lots of advice.

At The Juno Project, creating safe spaces for young women to explore their thoughts and feelings is at the heart of everything we do.
