Midweek Reset

You’re warmly invited to a short, peaceful Holy Communion service - a midweek moment to pause, breathe, and reset.

Part of the service includes an opportunity for prayers for healing perhaps for yourself, for those you love, and for our wider world.

If you’ve never been to something like this before, don’t worry. You’re more than welcome to simply sit, observe, and let it wash over you.

Whether you come regularly or for the first time, you’ll find a quiet, welcoming space to rest, reflect, and be encouraged.

Janner Men’s Shed donates some egg-stra special bird boxes to Devon Wildlife Trust 🐦

Over the years, the Janner Men’s Shed has made dozens of wooden bird boxes to sell and donate to good causes. Following a successful previous donation of a bespoke owl nest box, they’ve gone one step further and built owl nests, bird boxes, bat boxes and bug hotels, which have been donated to the Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT).

The Janner Men’s Shed meets weekly at Leigham Community Hall. This popular group comes together to socialise, have lunch and complete word work. It’s a safe place to meet, converse, share skills, create, and make new friends and is supported by Ryan Huws, Communities Walker at PCH.

💬 Ryan said: "The Janner Men’s Shed is pleased to be supporting the Devon Wildlife Trust with the great work that they do by supplying bespoke bird boxes to help them in their work to nurture wild natural landscapes and British wildlife. We're delighted that the donated bird boxes will be placed at various Devon Wildlife Trust sites across the South West, and we look forward to supporting them in the future.

How do we want to live together?

This week marks the launch of the National Conversation — a UK-wide initiative inviting people across the country to share what kind of place they want the UK to be. The survey is independently hosted by Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and runs from today until 31 August.

It only takes a few minutes to take part, and the more voices that are heard, across geography, age, background and outlook, the more useful the results will be. So …do please take part at thenationalconversation.org.uk

And do please share it. Forward this post on socials or via WhatsApp groups using the question at the heart of it: How do we want to live together?

A UK-wide listening initiative, inviting people to share what they value about community life and the communities they want to build together.
