Thanks to Sandridge Barton Winery for hosting an IET visit to their site yesterday, 24/09. The visit began with a presentation about their history and the challenges of refurbishing the site. A walk through the wine-making areas showed the process and finished with an opportunity to taste three of their wines. Excellent weather for the visit so we were able to walk up to the vineyards as a community pick was in progress.

We've a fascinating new online event on 30th March - Secret Soviet Maps of Devon, Britain and the World.
During the Cold War the Soviet Union carried out a cartographic project of unprecedented scale and ambition – the detailed mapping of the entire world. John Davies and Alex Kent have co-authored the book "The Red Atlas: How the Soviet Union Secretly Mapped the World" and will describe this gigantic global enterprise, focussing in detail on the Soviet mapping of Devon and Cornwall and the wider UK.
