I look for beautiful trees wherever I go but I wasn't expecting to find such a magnificent old oak in my first visit to Ernesettle Creek. The trunk extends horizontally from the bank, held together by strong twisted old roots and it stands watch over a little shell-strewn shingles beach 🌳

It was so exciting to see my very first beaver yesterday evening. I can't recommend this tour enough - I learned so much about these fabulous creatures and it was wonderful to spend some quiet time in this special place soaking up the sounds of nature 🦫
