π³ Hi, I'm Sidney! I've always been fascinated by nature, especially plants and trees and learned early in life that spending time outdoors is good for our bodies and brains.
More than a decade after graduating from Plymouth University with a degree in Biomedical Science, I have returned to Plymouth!
Having lived in the city and on a farm in the countryside, I've seen the difference in my wellbeing being the two and can see that the people of Plymouth just aren't connecting with nature as much as they could be.
My interest in nature and health eventually led me to discover Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing! The ways that spending time with trees can improve our wellbeing is nothing short of magic!
I trained as a certified Forest Bathing Guide as well as completing hundreds of hours of self-study (which I never stop!) and updated my First Aid knowledge with a Level 3 certificate in Outdoor Emergency First Aid.
Now I run Forest Bathing, creative and nature connection workshops, primarily at Poole Farm, Plymouth to share my passion for nature and inspire people to spend more time with trees to reduce stress and improve wellbeing. My workshops have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and all are welcome. π³
