☎️ BT plan to remove our payphone on West Moulin Road PH16 5ER - at the junction with East Moulin Road.

Representations can be made ending August 13th 2026.

BT are proposing to remove 1 public payphone(s) in our area due to declining usage. These have been assessed using the criteria set out in Ofcom’s review of the Telephony Universal Service Obligation. Under the terms set by this review, they’re obliged to notify the relevant public body (as defined on page 29).

To make sure the local community is fully informed, they’ve placed notices (below) (including the posting date) on these payphones.

Please Note – relevant public bodies are responsible for ensuring they submit any representations regarding this proposal before the proposal period ends.

🌟 Adoption Opportunity 🌟
Most red kiosks can be adopted by local councils, registered charities and private landowners for just £1, transforming them into defibrillator stations, mini-libraries or other creative ventures. They can also adopt modern glass boxes if they want to house a defibrillator. More information is available at bt.com/adopt.

👉 Would we like to adopt this one - comment with a YES or like this post before 30th June so we can secure our iconic red payphone for our community 👍

⛔️ Northbound Slip Road Closures ⛔️

Bear Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland.

👉 The slip road will be closed from week commencing the 15th June 2026. Work will start as soon as the slip road is closed.

The slip road needs to be closed for the duration of the works since there is insufficient room on the site to accommodate the plant and materials necessary for the works, allow safe access for farmers to care for their livestock and keep a lane of traffic running safely. Moving plant and materials out of the way overnight or over weekends is not possible in the narrow timeframe Bear Scotland have to complete the works 🏗️

The work needs to be completed through the summer months to avoid environmental damage to the river and its aquatic life. This is a permit requirement from Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and is required to comply with environmental legislation.

Bear Scotland have erected variable message signage on the . Once the slip road is closed, these signs will advise access to is possible from the North Junction. This is in addition to the standard diversion route signage.

Meetings have been held between Bear Scotland, Perth and Kinross Council and Police Scotland about the traffic management arrangements. PKC have confirmed they will monitor the situation and decide if mitigation measures are necessary on Atholl Road due to the increase in traffic volumes. Traffic counters are in place on various routes into , with continued monitoring. This will help quantify the change in traffic volumes and advise where further mitigation is necessary.

Variable message signs will be used to promote access to Pitlochry from the North via the signed diversion route.

⚠️ We strongly encourage our community to follow the official diversion route to help ensure the safety of all road users ⚠️

Transport Scotland Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd planned road closure affecting C502 Rotmell Road between the A9 and Dunkeld as part of the A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig works.

In order to safely facilitate construction of a retaining wall required for the dualling, part of the C502 Rotmell Road will be closed to all traffic between Rotmell Farm and Warren Lodge from 22 June 2026 for a period of up to 12 months, with the exception of local access only.

⛔️ During this closure, there will be no access for traffic to/from the onto Rotmell Road, and traffic will be diverted on to the A923 with access to the A9 via the A923 Dunkeld junction instead.

The exception to this will be properties around Rotmell Farm, where local access will be maintained, including for associated business access.

There will be no access from the Dunkeld Road junction onto C502 Rotmell Road, with the exception of local access for residents at Warren Lodge and Ledpetty Lodge.

👉 This diversion will be signposted with advance warning signage installed to provide traffic information at access/egress points from A923 Dunkeld Road, C502 Rotmell Road and on the A9.

👉 Transport Scotland Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd Traffic Management A9 Dualling

Upcoming traffic management measures and changes to the road layout to enable narrowing of the southbound lane on the A9 between Ballinluig and south of Rotmell junction as part of the ongoing A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig project.

To facilitate upcoming construction activities and ensure safety of pedestrians using active
travel routes adjacent to the , narrowing of the lane width from Ballinluig to south of
Rotmell junction will be introduced on the A9, and temporary safety barriers will be installed
along the carriageway edge line throughout the length of the project on the southbound
carriageway.

Works to allow the installation of the barriers will take place between 7pm and 6am the
following day and will continue for approximately two weeks from Monday 15 June 2026. A lane closure of the southbound carriageway at various points across the site will be required during this time as well as temporary traffic signals and convoy working.
Abnormal load operators are advised that the designated holding areas will be in operation
from 22 June as follows:

⬆️ A9 Northbound – Layby 36N, north of Bankfoot
⬇️ A9 Southbound – Layby 34, north of Ballinluig

All holding areas will be clearly signposted with contact details for traffic management.
We kindly ask all road users to approach the area with care, follow all signage and allow
additional time for journeys whilst these works are undertaken.

For the latest updates on traffic management arrangements, please visit the A9 Dualling
website at: www.a9dualling.scot

Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd would like to thank local residents and road users for their patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.

Be one of the first to see the Perth and Kinross Council plans for the developments at Pitlochry High School - moving our community library and leisure facilities to the School Campus.

Do your children attend the school (Nursery to S4), do you use the library, and/or do you use the Leisure Centre for fitness or recovery?

Go along to the drop in and then share your thoughts on the development and whether you feel you’ve been considered and communicated with: [email protected]

The more information we have pre-planning application submission, the better we can communicate the thoughts of our community - school 🏫 leisure 🏋 library 📚

A community drop-in event is taking place to give local residents the opportunity to view plans for the proposed project at Pitlochry High School. The plans include the provision of a 4-court sports hall, fitness suite and community library along with targetted upgrades to the existing secondary school.

Members of the project team will be there to talk through the proposals, answer questions and hear your feedback.

The event will be held at Pitlochry High School on 25 June 2026 from 5.30pm to 8pm. There is no need to book and attendees can drop in at any time.
