A stunning concert last night! Jolente de Maeyer (violin) and Nikolaas Kende (piano) displayed superb technique and mutual understanding - each piece was performed completely ‘in the zone’ for itself, including an ideal Stravinsky encore. Their reading of the Babajanian was outstanding!

Saturday 21 March, 7.30pm in Pinner Parish Church: Jolente de Maeyer (violin) and Nikolaas Kende (piano) will perform sonatas by Beethoven ( #8), Babajanian and Brahms ( #3).
These fine works straddle the Romantic and post-Romantic period - Babajanian composed his intense but lyrical sonata in 1959, and it is imbued with Armenian folk melodies.

We are very pleased to welcome this acclaimed Belgian duo, recognised as one of the leading musical duos in Europe.

Don't miss this penultimate concert in the Music in Pinner '25-'26 season, incredible value at £17.
Tickets in advance through the Music in Pinner website (card), or at the door (cash or cheque).

These four brilliant guitarists (at a Ruislip conservative club jazz evening) had a collection of skills & instruments to die for included a guitar that belonged to Django Reinhardt in the 1930s, complete with what’s called “relic’d” or having “mojo” - a blend of structural and cosmetic wear that tells the story of its musical journey - quite fabulous!
It was the first time these guys had performed together & the blues singer was an audience member! They were led by the bass, Pete Morgan with Nils Solberg, Martin Wheatley, & Jez Cook. See previous post for future gigs at the venue!
