Continuing our look at organisations doing amazing work across , Emma had a great chat with John from Clan Cancer Support at the Celebrate Aberdeen Parade on Saturday. It was great to hear more about how the service in is serving the community, thanks to drop-in sessions, walking groups and complimentary therapies. Getting out and talking with others impacted by cancer can really help people feel less alone.

Mind Yer mind is overseen by a Partnership Group that includes partners from Public Health of NHS Grampian, Aberdeenshire Council, AVA, Community Planning and Live Life Aberdeenshire.

Another group our Volunteering Development Officer Emma met at Celebrate Aberdeen was Balmedie Beach Wheelchairs. It is a voluntary run facility allowing families and carers to hire (for free!) all-terrain wheelchairs to explore Balmedie Beach together.

The project is a success due to the dedication of the , and their passion for inclusivity came shining through. It's wonderful to see that thanks to them, many more people can access Balmedie’s beautiful beach.

It is always great to see SensationALL (SCO43156) out and about, and they brought their brightness and bubbles to Union Street on Saturday at Celebrate Aberdeen.

Providing play, social and support groups for children and adults in their base and in . No one needs a diagnosis to access support at SensationALL making the service vital to so many people in the .

…who would benefit from funding. We need your help to spread the word that we award funding three times a year.

We’re looking for charities and organisations of all sizes to apply for our final funding round of 2026. Any organisation with charitable status in Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeenshire or Kincardineshire can apply.

Funding can support projects that improve quality of life, help people who are disadvantaged or isolated, bring communities together, and create opportunities in sport, the arts and for young people.
