Eastrea has struggled and campaigned for a village hall since 1945, and earlier committee members say that the idea repeatedly hit a brick wall. The new building is The Eastrea Centre and the gala lunch which launched the facility was followed by a heritage weekend. A full range of activities is now taking shape.

Did you know that every year we close the hall for a maintenance weekend. We all give up our time to come and do all the jobs that need doing, we paint, steam clean all the chairs, stock take and unfortunately remove all the stuff that left behind ( like the balloon arch recently ) so that our all is always presentable for the next hirer
