Recently I went on another Iceland Jamboree training camp. The picture attached is the patrol tent that I was sleeping in. The camp was amazing, I enjoyed meeting the whole unit again and we got to sing at another campfire and learn more about each other. On the last day of the camp it was announced that I am the patrol leader for one of the 5 patrols that we are going to be split into. I am very proud and hope that it works out amazing.

I would like to thank everyone for there support over my Jamboree journey so far. I would like to update every that I will be closing my just giving page at the end of the week so this is your last chance if you want to donate. However, I will still be using this page to post about my Jamboree journey so stay tuned and thanks so much for following me up until this point.

Thank you to Perthshire Advertiser for featuring my challenge in the paper this week. February was a challenging month with poor weather, but I am proud that I managed to complete my challenge of camping out for the whole month, and I really enjoyed being able to camp in places not usually open to campers. Thanks again to Willowgate Adventure Centre, Cultybraggan Camp, Glenalmond College and Scone Palace for letting me camp with you!
I will be heading to my next Iceland Training Camp in 2 weeks time to help me prepare for the Jamboree, and I am delighted that I am so close to my final fundraising target.
Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me, given me encouragement and followed along. My fundraising page will be open until the end of the month so if anyone would still like to sponsor me please head over there, link below. Please also like and follow this page as I will be posting updates from my training and counting down to Iceland over the next few months. I will also obviously post about Iceland once I return so that you all get to see and hear about what I get up to out there.

"So I'ma love you every night like it's the last night,
Like it's the last night"
As Bruno Mars wonderfully put it I have had the last night of this month long challenge, it is day 28 and I have succeeded! My in-tents February has now come to an end and I can move back indoors. However, my story and my adventure continue and I will be using this page to post about the rest of my Journey to the National Icelandic Jamboree 2026 so please continue to follow me for updates and photos. In addition, you can follow me and the rest of the contingent on the group page; https://www.facebook.com/TartanTroopers26.

I would like to thank you all for supporting me and helping me reach the end of my journey. I have reached my original goal for fundraising and any extra funds will go towards covering any extra expenses for myself and the group (we are really hoping we can raise enough to be able to travel to the Arctic circle whilst we are in Iceland) as well as the kit I will need to take with me. if you would still like to support me please click the link below, the page should still be active for the rest of this month. All I have left to say is a big well done for making it to the end with me, thank you!

This is definitely the most regal place I have camped this February. I would like to thank the Lord and Lady Stormont for letting me camp at the iconic Scone Palace*. The location was beautiful and definitely one of the main highlights camping this month. I pitched the tent just as the sun was going down and it was very scenic. The peacocks are beautiful but very lowed from very early in the morning.

This is night 27, making tomorrow the last night of the challenge. I would like to thank everyone who has been following my posts this whole month. The challenge I have partaken in is intense and I am glad that I am reaching its end, however I do think it might be a little weird to sleep in my own bed again. If you would like to know more about why I have partaken in this month long endovor or would like to support me for my effort please consider checking the link below.

*Please also note that express permission has been give to me to camp at this location and the other sites I will camp at over the coming month. The places I will be camping are NOT public campsites and are not usually open for camping so please don't turn up expecting to camp! Please make sure you have permission before camping on privet property, and if you are wild camping please make you leave no trace and take your rubbish home with you.

Yesterday I received a wonderful card from a lady called Muriel. I don't personally know her but she has been following my journey and wanted to wish me good luck. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank Muriel and everyone else who has supported me in my Journey, if you have donated, commented, asked me how it is going through the month or even just read my posts and clicked 'like' it genuinely means a lot to me. I would also like to thank my parents for all the support they have given me through the month as well as everywhere that has kindly let me camp. I have been allowed to camp in places that do not normally take campers and it has been wonderful to be so warmly welcomed at these places. I have now made it to day 26 and thanks to all I have smashed my original fundraising goals. I had initially hope to raise £1500 through my camping challenge, however the cost of attending the Jamboree as a Scottish representative is £2400 so I will keep my page open and really appreciate any final help to get me to my total would be amazing.
If you would like to know more about the Icelandic Jamboree or are interested in supporting me please check the link below. Thank you all so much for everything.

It's the final week now. D-d-do-do, d-d-du-du-do. Thank you everyone who has been on this journey so far. We have made it to day 21, this signals the end of week the and the coming of the final week. The morning started off wet but ended up drying up enough that I got to see a beautiful rainbow. I hope it is the star of another dry patch.

I am one of the 36 scouts and Explorers selected to represent Scottish scouting at this event.
