🇫🇷 NORMANDY BATTLEFIELD TOUR – REMEMBER • LEARN • HONOUR** 🎖️
Today was another powerful and memorable day for our Cadets as they continued their Normandy Battlefield Tour.
Our journey took us to Pegasus Bridge, Merville Battery, Ranville Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery and Juno Beach. Each location told a different story of courage, sacrifice and determination during the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy.
📍 Pegasus Bridge – Learning about the daring airborne operation that helped secure the eastern flank of the Allied landings.
📍 Merville Battery – Discovering the bravery and determination of the men tasked with neutralising a heavily defended German position.
📍 Ranville Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery – Taking time to reflect on the lives lost and the sacrifices made by those who never returned home.
📍 Juno Beach – Remembering the Canadian forces who landed here on D-Day and the courage they showed in the face of fierce opposition.
Lots to learn. Lots to absorb. Lots to remember, from Simon Anglia Tours
These visits are about far more than dates, maps and military tactics. They bring history to life, helping our Cadets understand the human cost of conflict and the courage, teamwork and selflessness shown by those who served.
As they walk these historic locations, our Cadets have the opportunity to reflect on the past, appreciate the freedoms we enjoy today and understand why remembrance matters.
🌹 We remember those who served. We honour those who sacrificed everything. We learn so that their stories are never forgotten.**
