Meet Molly, one of our Project Support Officers.

Molly previously supported Trauma Healing Together as an Admin Volunteer before applying and being successful in the recruitment process for an Admin Officer. She has just graduated from the University of Abertay in Dundee with a BSc in Psychology and Counselling. 🎉

💚Molly's favourite mental health quote is:
"Mental health... is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you're going". - Noam Shpancer

Wherever you are in Scotland, we are here for you!

At Trauma Healing Together, we support people from right across Scotland who are living with the effects of psychological trauma. We're based in Perth, but our reach and our support extends to every corner of Scotland.

As a charity, we work closely and compassionately alongside our clients through therapy, wellbeing groups, personal development training and research projects to give individuals a real voice.

If travelling to Perth isn’t possible, you may wish to explore our Stepping Stones Programme, which is also available online. You can find out more at www.traumahealingtogether.org/stepping-stones.

It's Volunteers Week!

After a workplace accident left Abbi with PTSD, she took one of the hardest steps of her life, asking for help.
"It meant admitting I was not as okay as I made myself out to be."

Through 24 sessions of trauma-focused therapy and 16 weeks of group wellbeing support with us, she built the tools to process her trauma and reclaim her life. But she didn't stop there.

Today, Abbi volunteers with the service that helped her - creating artwork, transforming therapeutic spaces, and speaking publicly about trauma recovery to reduce stigma.

Here are a few simple ways to support your mental health every day:

1. Do something small. Improving mental health doesn't have to be a grand gesture. Finding 15 minutes for ourselves without feeling guilty can sometimes be enough to make a difference.
2. Move your body. Get out for a walk, but if that feels too much, some gentle stretches on a regular basis can make a real difference.
3. Prioritise rest - sleep is essential for your wellbeing.
4. Take a break from screens, give your mind some breathing space.
5. Seek support when you need it, there is no shame in asking for help.
