Defribulators in the glen - a request for help please.
As you may know there are five - Chapelhil Hall, Harrietfield phone box, Glenalmond phone box, Buchanty Spout and on the A822 near Kirkton Bridge.
They are in need of some tender loving care. Pads need to be replaced c 3-5 years or after use and the battery every 4 - 5 years. An alarm is meant to sound when the battery is low. I had a look at the one at the hall - it has not been used and the battery is low or dead.
The cost of replacement pads / battery is £370.74 per defribulator.
So
- does anyone have experience of maintaining defribulators ?
- does anyone know the status of the defribulator near them or could go and have a quick look at it ?
- help me to replace pads and batteries ( I think two people should do it so to make sure its all present and correct )
Please respond to [email protected] or dm here
Using hall funds I have purchases two pads/batteries and plan to purchase three more following successful replacements of two. So the total spend is £1853.70
If anyone would like to make a donation to help pay for them please get in touch and I will send the bank details
Looking forward to hearing from you
