MEALS AT PENGARTH

Home delivered meals from Pengarth Day Centre enjoy a fantastic reputation for quality and value, and we offer a friendly, efficient seven days a week service across west Cornwall.

Freshly prepared each day in our own kitchen, our tasty menus make the most of the best in local ingredients to create a feast of traditional home cooked dishes and desserts that will really satisfy.

The advantage of our service is that you can order as often as you like, there’s no commitment, so you can enjoy our tasty and nutritious dishes regularly or just now and again when you fancy.

Our meals are delivered straight from the oven by our own team of friendly drivers Monday to Saturday, with Saturday’s delivery also bringing a meal for Sunday should you require one.

The service though is about more than just the delivery as our drivers take pride in getting to know our customers. This not only ensures seeing a familiar friendly face six days a week but also provides a regular visit from someone who can help ensure the customer’s day to day well being.

Each meal contains a main course, potatoes and a choice of three vegetables, plus there is an option for a tasty sweet as well. You can order in advance, or when you require, with same day deliveries being available to order until 9.00am.

Pengarth Hub (historically known as the Pengarth Day Centre) is a warm, caring activity and social centre located within the beautiful, sub-tropical Morrab Gardens in Penzance, Cornwall (Postcode: TR18 4DA). Acting as a central pillar for West Cornwall’s senior community for over 50 years, the hub focuses on providing friendship, entertainment, and essential care to reduce isolation.

Day Facility: Open to anyone aged 57 and over. Visitors can drop in without booking to read the paper, chat, or participate in structured health and well-being activities.

On-Site Dining: Features a kitchen serving daily refreshments and high-value, home-cooked lunches.

Meals on Wheels: Offers an acclaimed hot meal delivery service operating 7 days a week across the local area.

Specialist Care: Staff includes care professionals trained in dementia services. On-site amenities include a hair salon, a chiropody clinic, and accessible bathing facilities.

Transport Service: Offers an optional pick-up and drop-off minibus service for attendees who need assistance traveling to the hub.

Community Buddies: Employs dedicated community buddies who work alongside local NHS teams, GPs, and social prescribers to guide individuals to appropriate support networks.

A warm and caring activity centre open to anyone age 57 and over’
At the heart of West Cornwall’s senior community for nearly 50 years, Pengarth Hub offers friendship, fun and community to everyone aged 57 and over.
We provide a warm, caring day facility seven days a week in which you can sit, chat and enjoy regular activities and frequent special events.
We also have a wonderful kitchen that provides refreshments as well as great value home cooked lunches, and if you are unable to visit why not try our acclaimed home meals delivery service.
Should you need a little pampering, or indeed extra care, we also have a hair salon, chiropody clinic and bathing facilities.
You will find us in Morrab Gardens, Penzance. We are open 9.30am to 4.30pm and you do not need to book and we can pick you up and drop you off. Anyone is welcome to join us.

ACTIVITIES at PENGARTH HUB

We have everyone’s weekly favourites and a host of special occasions to entertain you. The fun never stops at Pengarth as activities are at the heart of our experience; visitors will find both regular weekly favourites and a host of special events to entertain them.
Weekly Favourites

Traditional favourites take place every week including frequent musical recitals with many popular local choirs and musicians being very regular visitors… after all, who doesn’t like a good old sing song!
Themed Events

At Pengarth we love an excuse to put on our posh frocks and host a party. Annual celebrations such as St. Piran’s day, the Queen’s birthday and Halloween are all looked forward to and make a great special occasion.
The Gardens

Morrab Gardens is one of the best sub-tropical gardens in the country, and best of all it’s on our doorstep. Perfect for a stroll on a sunny day to work up an appetite for lunch.
