There's a beach just down the road, or a bigger one just outside Porthmadog. There are plenty of local walks, nearly all of them with stunning scenery. Rainy day? Why not take the train to the mines in Blaenau Ffestiniog? Fancy an ice cream? Take the train to Cadwaladers in Beddgelert! There are many exciting things to do in the local area, and great people to meet, at all times of year. We do have designated hostel wardens, but it is YOUR responsibility to keep the hostel clean and tidy - particularly your room and module. The hostel fees are more than reasonable, and to keep them that way we all need to do our bit. Nobody likes getting back from work at 8pm to find their kitchen area a tip! All volunteers and seasonal staff are welcome, young or old, whether you're a regular or this is your first time. Please note that under 16's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We look forward to seeing you.
