Penley Defibrillator Fund To raise money for the installation and upkeep of defibrillators in Penley and then onto the surrounding areas. Free training will be provided.

An automated external defibrillator or AED is a portable electronic device that in some circumstances restart a heart following a cardiac arrest. Following a Cardiac Arrest the chance of survival decreases by 23% per minute. It is therefore very important medical treatment starts as soon as possible. Our rural location means that vital minutes are lost and a AED will make a vital difference. The A

ED will be located outside the Village Shop accessible 24hrs. I have seen first hand the sadness and loss a sudden death leaves a family and if any can prevented with a AED in the village then I believe it's a worth while cause. Once a AED has been placed at the shop I would like to continue and increase the numbers in the village extending them to the 2 schools and the Tudor Drive/Hillcrest part of Penley.
