What a brilliant sight at the Parish Hall last week — a newly funded BBQ being put to fantastic use during the World Cup match screenings.

Thanks to the successful grant application from the Hall Committee, residents enjoyed great food, great company, and a real sense of community spirit.

It’s wonderful to see Trust funding helping bring people together and supporting events that benefit the whole parish 🔥🌭⚽

A huge well done to everyone involved in organising such welcoming community evenings and don't forget they will be doing it all again tomorrow evening, so don't miss out!

📣 Pencombe Arkwright Trust – Next Grant Window Now Open!

The Pencombe Arkwright Trust is delighted to announce that our May grant application window is now open.

If you live in Pencombe or you’re a member of a Pencombe‑based organisation, and you’re working on a project, idea, or activity that benefits our community, we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s something small and practical or a bigger initiative, our aim is to support local people and help great ideas take shape.

📝 Applications are welcome throughout the month of April for the May awards.

💬 If you’re unsure whether your idea fits, just get in touch — we’re always happy to offer guidance.

🌱 New applicants are very welcome.

🌿 Welcome to The Pencombe Arkwright Trust page! 🌿

We’re delighted to launch this space to share news, celebrate local achievements, and help more people in our parish discover the support available to them. 💬✨

The Pencombe Arkwright Trust was established in 2001 to benefit the residents of Pencombe with Grendon Warren. Our purpose is simple but powerful: to provide financial grants that help individuals grow in character and experience, support people starting out in trades or careers, and fund projects that strengthen our community. 🌱💡

Over the years, we’ve helped young people take part in life‑changing events like international Guiding jamborees 🌍, supported residents setting up new businesses with essential tools 🛠️, and contributed to projects at the Parish Hall and the School 🏫.

The Trust is run by five dedicated trustees representing key parts of parish life, meeting twice a year to consider applications. If you live in the parish and have an idea, opportunity, or project that would benefit you or the community—but need financial help to make it happen—we’d love to hear from you. 🤝💭
