🌘 Solar Eclipse Prayer | Salat al-Kusuf

A partial solar eclipse will be visible tomorrow, Wednesday 12th August. In accordance with the Sunnah, we will be gathering at Peacehaven Mosque for Salat al-Kusuf.

🕕 Eclipse begins: 6:15pm
🕌 Salat al-Kusuf: 6:45pm
🤲 Du’a: 7:05pm
🕢 ‘Asr Jama’ah: 7:30pm
📿 Dhikr: 7:40pm
🌘 Eclipse ends: approx. 8:00pm

⚠️ Please note: Our normal ‘Asr Jama’ah is at 7:00pm. For Wednesday 12th August only, ‘Asr Jama’ah will be at 7:30pm.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah… So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray.”
Sahih al-Bukhari

⚠️ Solar Eclipse Viewing: Never look directly at the sun without proper eclipse eye protection. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe.
