The Palmers Greenery Cafe is an amazing local asset and we are so pleased that they have signed up to Enfield’s Breastfeeding Welcome scheme!

Nestled in the heart of Broomfield Park, this community cafe is run entirely by volunteers with the sole aim of doing good for the community - so we immediately knew we needed to get them onboard!

Headed up by the incredible force of nature Sarah, the Palmers Greenery is so much more than a park cafe. This affordable, accessible and friendly place has seen countless unexpected social connections blossom. As Sarah explains, ‘It’s all these tiny connections. This is what community does’.

For many new parents, getting out for a walk, a chat and a change of scenery can make a real difference. Surrounded by trees and open space the Palmers Greenery offers just that.

The kiosk has no indoor seating but plenty of outdoor plus feeding beneath the shade of the willow tree in summer sounds pretty special!

This mum has been accessing our breastfeeding support service since her baby was born. Now, with her baby reaching 6 months old, she shared how valuable and helpful the support has been throughout her feeding journey.

Hearing that families continue to feel supported, informed, and encouraged as their babies grow is exactly why our peer supporters do what they do. 🌟

Enfield Town Library is now part of Enfield’s Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme and might just become a regular spot on your breastfeeding journey.

The large, bright space offers comfortable seating options as well as benches outside on the Library Green so is a welcoming place to feed, relax and spend time with your little one.

The library also hosts a range of regular activities for babies and young children:

Monday–Wednesday | 10am–12pm

🎵 Toddler Time
Tuesday & Wednesday | 10.15am–11am

👶 Baby Songs and Play

Thursday | 2.15pm–3pm

We are proud to support public, private and voluntary sector organisations and businesses to show breastfeeding families that they want them to have a positive experience of breastfeeding when they are out and about in the borough.

Sophie and the wonderful team at Sophie's Bakery & Café have signed up to support Enfield's Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme and we are delighted to have them onboard!

"It was always my dream to open my own space. I love looking after people and I am such a foodie. I wanted to give people great food and drinks and build a lovely community space for everyone to feel comfortable in – a home from home!"

The yummy menu includes breakfast, homemade soups, fresh salads and classic toasties.
Plus Sophie likes to add in fun, inventive specials each month to change things up a bit.

Located opposite Enfield Library Green the cafe has plenty of high chairs and baby change facilities.
