Last week we celebrated the summer solstice by learning about using herbs and plants in tea-making, to promote wellbeing 😊
We worked with lemongrass, ginger, chamomile, hawthorn, mullein, mint, hibiscus, nettle and other ingredients.
Some of the plants we used are grown here at STAR 😊
After making up tea mixes to take home, we spent some time talking about mindfulness and the opportunity the Summer Solstice gives us to reflect on light and warmth in our lives🌞

🌳 Have Your Say on the Future of Fountain Gardens Play Park! 🌳
Great news! Fountain Gardens Play Park is set to benefit from investment by Renfrewshire Council, and local people are being invited to help shape its future. As it’s always been oor ‘back garden’, we’re delighted to see it named.
If you use the park with your children, grandchildren or family, now's your chance to tell the Council what you'd like to see included in the new play area. Fingers crossed for lots of inclusive, accessible equipment!

Ahead of Sma Shot Day, our artist-in-residence, Britta. will help us weave
the visible and invisible threads that hold our community together🧵🪡 We will be weaving small individual squares with cardboard looms made from recycled packaging. These can then be displayed on the Drop-In Tree! Join us next Thursday, 25th at 10am!
