From behind the scenes in her studio at Launch It Paisley to launching her very own sustainable swimwear brand, Niamh has been putting in the work to bring her vision for SYLA to life. 🌊👙

Inspired by her Scottish upbringing and a deep connection to the landscapes and culture around her, SYLA is rooted in slow fashion and designed to celebrate female empowerment and body positivity.

With a focus on empowering silhouettes, timeless forms and natural movement, Niamh has created pieces for women of all ages to feel confident, comfortable and celebrated in.💪🏽✨

Since joining our incubation programme, Niamh has worked tirelessly to build SYLA from the ground up. With support from our Enterprise Manager, Becca, she’s developed her brand, refined her designs and built the foundations of her business.

Last August, Niamh officially launched SYLA at a special event, showcasing her first collection and marking an exciting new chapter in her journey as a young entrepreneur.💛

From taking that first leap of faith to growing into a bigger space and building a thriving lash business and training academy, Stephanie’s journey is a brilliant reminder of what can happen when you just start. 💫

As one of the supported founders at Launch It Paisley, Stephanie recently reflected on her journey through our two-year incubation programme from starting up and taking the leap, to working alongside our Enterprise Manager, accessing funding and turning her vision into a growing business.

Today, Stephanie continues to trade, grow and build her lash business and training academy from her new, bigger space at Abbey Mill Business Centre. 🙌🏽✨

Take the leap— that’s our top tip for today.💯✨

Sometimes the biggest step in building a business is simply deciding to start.

Young founder Chris Howe knows that first-hand. Through his journey building Flitinn, a youth-focused travel business specialising in curated, all-in-one party holiday packages for students and first-time travelers, Chris has taken the leap from an idea to building something real.

Along the way, he connected with Launch It Paisley, where he received support to explore funding opportunities, start-up advice and take the next steps with his business.

In particular, our Enterprise Manager Becca helped Chris navigate the process and access local funders, offering guidance, encouragement and practical support when he needed it.

As Chris believes: You don’t need to have everything figured out from day one. Start with the idea, ask questions, seek support and be willing to learn as you go. Watch out for our full feature on Chris coming soon.

From baking businesses to soap makers, coffee brands to organisations, her work spans a genuinely diverse mix of clients, all brought to life through her bold, distinctive style.✨
 
Behind the scenes, On-May has been working closely with our enterprise manager to bring more structure to her business, alongside guidance on areas like grant applications, turning natural creative talent into a properly structured, sustainable business.
