Some people build gazebos. Others insist on testing whether they double up as monkey bars… 😂

Tomasz has certainly put our new addition through its paces! We’re pleased to report that the gazebo is standing strong, and that our builder clearly has a few extra skills up his sleeve. 💪🌿

Every community garden needs places to come together, take a breather and enjoy the fruits of a little hard work.

Thanks to Tomasz, Denny Gardens has a brand-new gazebo, creating another lovely space for our community to enjoy.

A big thank you to Tomasz for his hard work in making it happen. We can’t wait to see this space come to life! 💚

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽.

While others debate what needs to change in our housing crisis, our OCLT members roll up their sleeves and get to work.

We don't wait for permission to create permanently affordable homes. We don't wait for the "perfect moment" to start organising our communities.

We act with urgency because families are being priced out TODAY.
We act with hope because we've seen what's possible when communities own their future.
We act with determination because housing justice can't wait for tomorrow.

No fancy boardroom. No corporate jargon. Just real people solving real problems through collective action.
That's the empowerment that comes from community ownership. That's the solidarity that builds lasting change.

When we own the land together, we control our destiny together.

Your community needs you. Not your expertise. Not your connections. Just you, showing up, ready to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Because permanent affordability isn't built by waiting – it's built by doing. 🏘️💪🤝✊

Up to a dozen new affordable homes are being prepared on two council-owned sites in Blackbird Leys under a partnership between Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire Community Land Trust (OCLT).

Teachers driving an hour to school. Nurses choosing between rent and bills. Families uprooted from the places they’ve always called home.

This is the reality we’re working to change – together.

OCLT is community-owned, community-shaped, and powered by people who believe housing and land justice isn’t just possible, it’s necessary. Every member who joins, every hour volunteered, every donation made — it all adds up to something permanent. Homes that stay affordable. Not for a decade. For generations.
