The Spencers got in touch with us after looking after a friends dog made them realize they'd like one of their own, and had heard that a greyhound might be a good fit. The greyhound would be a companion for son Jenson but would also have to get on with Jenson's younger brother Max, who has special needs and sometimes needs a wheelchair.
On meeting Syd at our kennels Max was asked "do you like the look of greyhounds?" "NO!" came the immediate reply! Syd, ever the charmer, would have his work cut out here! After a few laps of the field we stopped to gather our thoughts. Perhaps a smaller girl would be better? A non-black boy maybe? Syd saw his chance, and after dad turned back around after meeting another of our hounds he saw Syd gently resting his head on Max's lap and Max stroking him.
Its always nice when they sell themselves 🙂So off Syd went on a foster to make sure everything would be good in the home environment. Now we are pleased to announce that Syd has gotten himself adopted and a last name, good boy Sydney Spencer!
