Unstoppable God 🙏"If it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." - Acts 5:38-39Inspired by the wisdom of Gamaliel, this powerful scripture reminds us that when God is at work, nothing can stand in His way. Men’s Discipleship Reflection

Today’s Scripture

“This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but they have gone in search of many schemes.” — Ecclesiastes 7:29

This verse has challenged me deeply.

Solomon says God made humanity upright—straight, sincere, and aligned with His heart. The problem did not begin with God; it began when mankind started looking for “many schemes.” Instead of trusting God’s simple truth, we have often substituted it with our own ideas, traditions, opinions, ambitions, and religious systems.

This made me think about Jesus’ repeated words in the Sermon on the Mount:

“You have heard that it was said… but I say to you.”

Was Jesus exposing the very “schemes” Solomon spoke about? Had God’s simple intentions become buried beneath centuries of human interpretation? Jesus didn’t abolish God’s truth; He peeled away the layers that prevented people from seeing God’s heart.

As disciples, we should continually ask ourselves:

Am I following Jesus, or am I following what I have always been taught about Jesus?

This isn’t a criticism of teachers or preachers. God uses them. But every disciple has a personal responsibility to hear Christ’s voice above every other voice.

It would be great for us to reflect together:

1. What do you think Solomon meant by “many schemes”?
2. What “schemes” or traditions do you think Christians today are most vulnerable to?
3. Have you ever discovered that something you had always believed wasn’t actually what Jesus was teaching?
4. How can we become men who seek, above everything else, “What does Jesus say?” rather than simply accepting, “What have I always heard?”

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts. Let’s challenge one another to return to the simplicity and purity of following Christ.
