Happy Volunteer's Week! ⭐️

Volunteers Week is a UK-wide celebration held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions volunteers make to their local communities.

Ormskirk Gang Show is 100% organised and run by adults who hold volunteer roles in Scouts and Girlguiding. From booking venues, taking photos, choreographing dances, writing scripts... It's all the hard work of passionate volunteers!

Want to join our team? We are currently looking for volunteers for our 2027 show, 'A Roald Dahl Story'. No abilities, skills or experience needed, just enthusiasm, commitment, and a current volunteer role in Scouts or Girlguiding! Ormskirk Gang Show presents... ‘A Roald Dahl Story’! Coming February half-term 2027 📚

Are you, your child or your unit/group interested in acting, dancing, or performing on stage? We are now looking for local members of Scouts and Girlguiding to take part in our next show. No acting ability, skills or experience needed, just enthusiasm and commitment!

JUNIOR GANG:
Do you have a child in Beavers, Cubs, Rainbows or Brownies? Our brand new Junior Gang is for them! Your child must be…
-Aged 6-9 by 19th February 2027
-Free to rehearse 1 Sunday a month from September 2026
-A member of Ormskirk and District Scouts, Girlguiding Asland Division or Girlguiding Ormskirk and Skelmersdale Division

The best part of Gang Show has to be taking to the stage after months of hard work rehearsing! This year's cast was filled with incredible Cubs, Brownies, Scouts and Guides who made us proud, as well as amazing adult volunteers who kept the show running smoothly both behind the scenes and on stage.

Introducing our all-star cast of 'The Fiona Show' (Ormskirk Gang Show - 2025/6) ⭐️

Can anyone believe it has been 1 week since we took to the stage at Ormskirk Civic Hall?! We certainly can't! This year's cast was filled with Cubs, Brownies, Scouts and Guides, as well as amazing adult volunteers who kept the show running smoothly both behind the scenes and on stage.

Thank you to everybody who took part! We can't wait to reunite at our upcoming after-party, as well as hopefully seeing most of you in next year's cast 👀

The cast and crew at Ormskirk Gang Show wish every Scout, Guide and Gang Show around the world a happy Founder's Day/World Thinking Day! ⚜️ ☘️

⚜️Founder’s Day is a powerful reminder for Scouts that they are part of a global family of over 57 million Scouts worldwide. It’s the perfect time to reflect on the impact made together, why Scouts are proud to belong to the movement, and why Scout values still matter.

☘️World Thinking Day is a chance to shout about the amazing things happening in Girlguiding and to connect with 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts across the globe! The celebration started in 1926, making this year the 100th celebration!

The day itself, 22nd February, marks the joint birthdays of Robert Baden-Powell (founder of Scouts, Girlguiding and first World Chief Scout) and his wife, Olave Baden-Powell (first World Chief Guide) 🎂

1 year ago today… 🗓️

Can anyone believe it’s been 1 year since we performed Alice in Oz?! And now we are already done with The Fiona Show as well! 😮

Thank you to everyone who has supported our last two shows! Our Gang Show has only performed 3 shows so far, but we are growing and growing each year! As we look back on Alice in Oz (2025 and say our goodbyes to The Fiona Show (2026), we are also looking to the future to see where 2027 will take us… 📚🍫🏫

WE DID IT!

We’ve been rehearsing since September, giving up Sundays and weekends to bring a Scoutified fairytale kingdom to Ormskirk’s community. Here is what happened the second the curtains closed for our dress rehearsal 😍

Cubs, Brownies, Scouts, Guides… We are so proud of you all! You’ve all put so much effort into bringing this show to life. Our first show day has finally arrived and you lot are going to smash it tonight! Hopefully, we will hear celebrations coming from behind the curtain all over again ❤️
