🏔️ Once a Scout, always a Scout! ⚜️

What an uplifting and positive post from Irish mountaineer Jason Black, acknowledging that his love and passion for the outdoors began through scouting at a young age.

The values, confidence and practical skills Jason learned as a young Cub Scout planted a seed that helped shape the person he has become today. It’s wonderful to see him recognise those formative years and proudly carry the Scout symbol with him as he takes on some of the highest and most challenging peaks in the world. 🌍⛰️

A great reminder that the experiences we have as young people can stay with us for a lifetime and help shape the adults we become.

Once a Scout, always a Scout! ⚜️💚

What a fantastic weekend at 4th Tyrone Summer Camp at Moira Lakes! ☀️🏕️🌊
A huge thank you to Mark, Maeve and all the team at Moira Lakes who went above and beyond to ensure we had a safe, fun and unforgettable experience.
We were blessed with amazing weather and packed so much into the weekend – SUP, kayaking, mega boards, backwoods fire lighting, campfire cooking, and even making our own mallets from logs using knife skills. There was plenty of action too with laser tag and combat archery, followed by campfire skits and, of course, s’mores! 🔥🍫
We are incredibly proud of all our young people – our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts – who embraced every challenge, supported one another and made the most of every moment.
A special thank you, as always, to our dedicated leaders whose hard work, planning and enthusiasm made the whole weekend possible.
Brilliant memories were made, friendships strengthened, and adventures shared. We can’t wait for the next adventure!

What an incredible weekend our scouts had at the joint Erne and Errigal County Shield in Irvinestown!
The level of skill and teamwork on display from both counties was truly outstanding. From building campsites and preparing meals to lighting fires, tackling challenges, and entertaining everyone with fantastic campfire skits—it was an impressive and inspiring sight throughout.
The sunshine made it all the more special, creating the perfect setting for a brilliant scouting experience.
A big thank you to Damien and Adrian for leading the way, and to all the scouters and ventures who contributed to such a successful and memorable weekend!
