SSE Renewables Community Fund

We wish to thank SSE Renewables Community Fund for the vital funding which we received to help us carry out work in our main hall to repair the damage which was caused by flooding in 2017.

📖 BOOK LAUNCH – FROM PASTURES GREEN 🇬🇧

Folks, a fascinating new local history book, From Pastures Green: Mid-Tyrone in the Great War 1914–1918, by former Omagh High School history teacher Laura Kwasniewska, is being launched this Thursday, 3rd September.

The book is understood to be one of the most extensively researched works on the subject, with a particular focus on identifying and remembering as many of the men from Mid-Tyrone who served during the Great War as possible.

A wonderful opportunity to support local history and learn more about the men and families from our own area whose lives were shaped by the First World War.

🎶 Ulster-Scots Tuition Classes – Somme Memorial Hall Newtownstewart 🥁🎵

Our new round of Bagpipe, Snare Drumming, Tenor Drumming & Drum Majoring tuition classes is starting soon at Somme Memorial Hall, Newtownstewart!

✨ Classes are open to children and adults of all abilities, with excellent tutors providing tuition in a friendly and welcoming environment.

🥁 Snare, Tenor & Drum Major classes begin Monday 7th September
🎵 Bagpipe classes begin Saturday 12th September
