If the solution is ready before the community has spoken… it’s not co-design.

Too many projects start with:
“Here’s what we’re planning - what do you think?”
That’s not participation. That’s feedback.

Real co-design means:
The first question is “What’s really going on here?”, not “What should we build?”

People with lived experience help shape the brief, not just polish the final draft.

No one is invited into a process that’s already decided.

If the only thing left to change are the cosmetics, it’s too late.
