Good News For Easter!

⛪🕊️Good News for Easter: SAVE welcomes the launch of a trust dedicated to finding a long-term use for the home of a 'dazzling' 20th-century artwork by George Mayer-Marton.

The powerful Crucifixion scene is one of the few remaining works by the émigré Hungarian artist who escaped the N***s.

The Oldham Mural & Cultural Heritage Trust, led by a strong local board of trustees, will now take forward the vision for Holy Rosary Church in Greater Manchester and secure funding. The trust plans to transform the church into a cultural heritage and arts centre for young people and the community🎨🖌️

This is a huge step forward in the ongoing campaign to protect and restore this extraordinary in-situ artwork which SAVE helped get grade II-listed in 2022 with support from Victoria and Albert Museum and the artist's great nephew.
