🧡 A little plea from Little Hands Big Meals CIC! 🧡

Our project is growing, and we’re so grateful for all the support we’ve received so far. 🥹

To keep our children’s cooking sessions running, we’re now desperately looking for:

🥔 10 Potato Mashers
🥔 10 Potato Peelers
🥣 7 Sieves

If you have any spare that are in good condition, or if you’d be happy to purchase one from our Amazon Wish List, we would be incredibly grateful.

Every single donation helps us teach children skills for life, provide them with a meal they’ve cooked themselves, and work towards breaking the cycle of food poverty and poor health.

🧡👩‍🍳 BOOKINGS NOW OPEN! 👨‍🍳🧡

Our next Little Hands Big Meals CIC cooking session will take place on:

📅 Monday 29th June
⏰ 4:00pm
💷 £4 per child

The response to our sessions has been incredible, and places fill up very quickly! Children will learn to cook from scratch, take home a delicious meal, and gain skills for life that help break the cycle of food poverty and poor health.

WOW… we honestly didn’t expect this much interest! 🧡🥹

Our cooking sessions are filling up so quickly, and we hate having to turn children away. At the moment we’re limited by the amount of equipment, space and volunteers we have, but we’re working hard to grow so we can welcome even more children. 🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Each session gives children:
🧡 A hot meal they have cooked themselves
🧡 Skills for life they’ll use forever
🧡 Confidence and independence in the kitchen
🧡 The chance to help break the cycle of food poverty and poor health through practical cooking and budgeting skills.

If you’d like your child to be considered for the next available session, please email us now to join our booking list. I’ll contact families as soon as spaces become available. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

🧡 A little reminder from Little Hands Big Meals CIC 🧡

We keep our sessions as affordable as possible because we never want cost to be the reason a child misses out. Every child gets to cook, learn valuable life skills and take a meal home.

Because of this, we buy ingredients and prepare everything in advance based on the number of children booked on. 🍅🥕🍗

If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. This helps us avoid food going to waste and gives another child on our waiting list the opportunity to take your place.

We completely understand that things happen, but a quick message makes a huge difference. ❤️

A couple of the mums have even volunteered to do the washing up for us! 🧡🥹

This community project only runs so smoothly because of all the helping hands. From parents volunteering to everyone donating equipment and supporting us, it really does take a village.

And the best part? The children absolutely love it! 🍽️👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
