Last week we had the great pleasure of welcoming District Chairman Joy Fox to our meeting. Clare Stone was also present as our special guest.
Joy gave a wonderful speech about her upbringing within the family grocery business and married life. For the older ones amongst us it bought back happy memories of when we had helped parents or grandparents in family shops. It really was a lovely speech 🙂.
Clare was in the original Hucknall Inner Wheel group and kindly bought along some of the original minute books. Clare is still a current member of the Inner Wheel and goes to Sutton in Ashfield so still within district 22 🙂
