💜 Exciting News from Empower Healing CIC 💜

We are delighted to announce that, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund we will soon be delivering the Own My Life programme completely FREE for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Own My Life is a powerful 12-week course that helps women understand the impact of abuse, rebuild confidence, let go of self-blame, and reconnect with who they truly are. It's about moving from surviving to thriving in a safe, supportive environment with women who understand.

As part of the programme, you'll also have access to our wider Empower Healing CIC community, including:

🌿 Free peer support group
🧘 Free online yoga sessions
🏕️ Free wellbeing retreats
💜 Ongoing friendship, support and connection

Healing doesn't happen overnight, and you don't have to do it alone.

🌿 Join us this Sunday at Attenborough Nature Reserve 🌿

🕦 11:30am – 2:30pm

A welcoming morning and afternoon in nature for women and children aged 5+ who are safe around the fire.

✨ We'll be enjoying:

Introductions

Gentle breathwork & seated yoga

A fire ceremony to let go of what no longer serves us, followed by manifestation journaling and celebrating what we're proud of

Toasting marshmallows

Tree hugging and optional barefoot walking

Children's insect hunt while the adults enjoy angel card readings

Guided meditation with sound healing to finish

Please note:

Children must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times and must not be left unattended, especially near the fire.

Parking is payable at the reserve by each attendee.

The event itself is free.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks and plenty of water for the duration.

💜 A dream that's finally becoming a reality... 💜

Last year, I founded Empower Healing CIC – A Sanctuary for Survivors.

As a survivor myself, I understand how difficult the healing journey can be. That's why I created a safe, supportive community run by survivors, for survivors, where women are believed, supported and never have to face healing alone.

Over the past year, I've worked tirelessly behind the scenes to secure funding so we can provide FREE healing and wellbeing services for women and children affected by sexual assault and domestic abuse.

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund The National Lottery we can now offer:

🧘 Weekly online yoga sessions
🌿 Monthly forest bathing & wellbeing retreats
💜 The Own My Life programme to help women rebuild their lives after abuse
🎶 Sound healing, meditation, women's circles and so much more.

This is just the beginning, and I'm so excited to help more women heal, reconnect with themselves and realise they're not alone.

Important Information

Please arrive from 9:30am to allow time for parking, using the toilet facilities, and getting settled.

We will begin promptly at 10:00am, so please aim to be in the room and ready to start by 9:45am.

What to Bring

Packed lunch

Refreshments and drinks

Yoga mat

Blanket

Pillow/cushion

Eye mask (optional)

If you don't have any of these items, please let me know with plenty of notice and I will do my best to provide them.

Gentle Yin Yoga with Sound Healing

Yoga Nidra Meditation

Gong Relaxation

12:00pm – 1:00pm

Lunch in our private woodland area

Time to connect with nature

Toasting marshmallows around the fire

Journaling and reflection

Please Remember

Everything throughout the day is completely optional.

This retreat is a safe, supportive, trauma-informed space where you are encouraged to honour your own needs and boundaries.

If there is any activity that doesn't feel right for you, you are welcome to:

Sit out and observe

Take time for yourself

Rest quietly

Join back in whenever you feel ready

There is absolutely no pressure to participate in every activity. This day is about giving yourself what you need and moving at your own pace.
