This year, thanks to incredible community support, we’ve been able to:

Launch two new peer support programmes
Open a sibling play therapy service for bereaved children
Support more bereaved families than ever before
We even won the NBT ‘Make a Difference’ Award for our work in Nottingham.
But we can’t do it alone.

We’re inviting businesses, sponsors, and partners to join our community in the year ahead — whether through financial support, fundraising initiatives, or in‑kind contributions. Together, we can create comfort, connection, and hope for families facing the hardest of times.

If your organisation or workplace is looking to make a meaningful impact in Nottingham this year, reach out to Vikki via [email protected]. We'd love to talk.

Get out Into the Woods with us this Saturday 31st January. Book now (link in bio) and join us anytime between 10am-12noon for our usual support and activities for all ages; fun, play, bubbles, crafts, fire, hot chocolate and marshmallows. You never know, the weather may get better, but if not it's all under the shelter of the woodland canopy (and you can huddle under the tarp by the fire if it's wet or chilly!)

If you can't make it this time, please don't worry - our Into the Woods sessions will continue throughout the year.

Twice a month, here at Zephyr's we get outside...

Our Walking Together morning strolls offer slow paced support and mindfullness, in nature, for bereaved parents, grandparents, and adults. Blending nature-focussed activities with self care and gentleness.

While our Into the Woods activites, which are for all ages touched by baby and childloss, provide a mix of crafts, fireside support (and marshmallows) with play, bubbles and mud a-plenty. For bereaved brothers and sisters, parents, carers, grannies and grandpas, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

Do check out our webpages to find out more, and book yourself onto any of our free-to-attend sessions (many happen indoors too)

'Thank you for creating and providing a space that is so comforting and welcoming. The tea, biscuits, the warm fire are spot on. Being in a space where I don't feel like the odd one out'

Our next 'In the Evening' session will take place on Thu 5th February at our workshop space. If you’d like to come along, we’d love to have you. There's no need to book. Whether you want to share, sit quietly, or connect with others who understand, there’s a place for you.

Community. Support. Care.

Donna and her team always host the Review Family Days with such care; providing both insight and information, with sensitivity and respect for all who attend... Members of Zephyr's - Susie, Shamara and Carly - were pleased to be there today, letting people know about our charity and support.

The day included a report publication update - planned for June 2026, with family feedback and meetings scheduled between June-Dec later this year. FPSS shared a support reminder - including the news that they're commissioned to offer therapeutic support until May 2027.

FPSS & Zephyr's are collaborating to offer group craft sessions, for and with families, starting on 26th Feb and running every other week. Please be in touch if you'd like to know more.

Peer support is also available through the private Facebook group set up by families.

If you're in the Review but didn't feel able to attend or couldn't make it, updates will be available, for you to read in your own time, on the Ockenden Maternity Review website.

Members of GMC, NMC and Nottinghamshire Police presented their recent activity and plans also, much of which will also be shared, for those who wish to look over slides or updates via the Review website and the Notts Police Operation Perth portal.

We remain here for you, to support you directly, or to help you find care from those in the team of psychological services as needed. Do get in touch.

It was great as always to chat to our friends and and to share info too (who couldnt be there today)

We know we’re well into January, but we couldn’t let the festive season pass without a huge thank you. Thanks to you, over 2,500 of our Christmas cards found their way into homes and hearts — raising nearly £2,000 to support bereaved families in Nottingham. Your kindness makes a real difference

An enormous, and very special, thank you to our wonderful beneficiary, turned volunteer, Helen, who lovingly creates our cards each year.

We'd also like to thank
Rachel Ellen Designs and Bexons printers for printing all of our cards
Nick and Kayleigh, Gemma and Moosa Duke Solicitors for managing all of the orders and the posting
Jeanette and Michael, Amy, Becky, Jen, Gemma, Rachael and Martin for helping prepare all of our card bundles
and to everyone who helped sell our cards at stalls and markets across the city.

Christmas is about community and we are so very grateful for ours.

Thank you for giving a little gift to Zephyr’s this Christmas

As we pack away the tree, finish off the final mince pies and get ready to go back to work, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who gave a little gift to Zephyr’s this Christmas.

Together you raised over £1500 to support our specialist bereavement counselling service.

Heartbreakingly, demand for this vital service has never been higher and your donation will help us to continue providing expert counselling to bereaved families; offering hope, healing and the reassurance that they are not alone.

Our campaign will remain open for a few more days, so if you'd like to support, please follow the link in our bio.
