FOREVER STARS 🌟- PR 23/53

So, unfortunately when I turned up, Worcester was cancelled and I didn’t have enough time to go to a different one. So just did my own 5km route. Which actually probably helped as I’m still under the weather and didn’t push my self too much without the natural competitiveness of a park run. 🏃🏼‍♀️ two weeks of placement left until I’m back to uni and have a better routine which will no doubt be good for my park run weekend ventures.

Volunteers’ Week is a chance to celebrate the incredible people who give their time to support Forever Stars.

Today, we’re sharing Sacha's story.

Sacha first connected with Forever Stars after making a donation in memory of her son, Mitchell, understanding personally the difference projects like the Serenity Suites make to families affected by baby loss.

Over the years, she has supported the charity in many ways, from running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in 2020 to helping at events including our Christmas Fair and Easter celebrations.

Reflecting on becoming more involved, Sacha shared:
“By helping with events, I have started to get to know more of the volunteers, and they are the most welcoming, friendly and supportive group that I have ever known. It feels like being part of a family that you know is there for you.”

We are so grateful to Sacha, and to every one of our volunteers who helps create such a caring and supportive community around Forever Stars.

is Volunteers’ Week, we’re continuing to celebrate the people who help support bereaved families through Forever Stars.

Today, we’re sharing Leah and Will’s story.

“We both feel so privileged to be able to give some of our time and energy to such a lovely charity, who give themselves endlessly to people like us who have been through the unthinkable.”

After the stillbirth of their son, Henry, in 2023, Leah and Will were supported through the Serenity Suite and later chose to volunteer and fundraise for Forever Stars. They also shared the impact of the charity’s sibling support sessions, where their daughter spoke about her brother for the first time.

We’re beyond proud and excited to have been chosen as a sponsor of the Long Eaton United U11 Royals for the upcoming season.

What makes this even more special is that this comes at absolutely no cost to the charity. It is simply the kindness, generosity and belief in our work from Nick and everyone involved with the team. Gestures like this genuinely humble us and remind us of the incredible support that exists within our community.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of the team’s journey going forward. Who knows where the conversations started by seeing the Forever Stars logo on a football shirt might lead? Whether it’s raising awareness, supporting a family, or simply helping someone understand baby loss a little better, the ripple effect of opportunities like this can never be underestimated.

Forever Stars Are Coming to Long Eaton Carnival!

On Saturday 20th June you’ll find the Forever Stars team at the Events Field in West Park, Long Eaton (NG10 3NL) and we’d love you to come and say hello.

There will be plenty of fun for all the family including our Teddy Tombola, Guess the Jelly Cat’s Name competition, football activities with Forever Stars FC and the chance to meet volunteers, trustees and supporters who help make our charity what it is.

Events like Long Eaton Carnival are incredibly important to us. Baby loss can be a difficult subject to talk about, but by being present in our communities we help start conversations, raise awareness and let families know that support is available when they need it. Sometimes a simple chat at a community event can make a huge difference to someone who may be struggling in silence.

Whether you’re looking for a great day out, want to find out more about volunteering, are interested in the work of Forever Stars FC, or simply want to support a local charity, please stop by and see us.

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we’re proud to share the stories behind the people who generously give their time to Forever Stars.

Today, we’re sharing Tracey’s story.

“If I can make just a small difference at the garden amongst the massive difference that Forever Stars as a whole makes, helping to ensure that babies aren’t forgotten and that their parents and families are supported, then I know I’m doing the right thing.”

Tracey volunteers in the Serenity Garden, helping care for a peaceful space created for reflection and remembrance. Her story reflects how volunteering can be deeply personal, meaningful, and healing.

Today, we’re sharing Kelly’s story.

“What I enjoy most about volunteering is knowing that even the smallest thing can make a difference to someone during the hardest time in their life.”

Kelly began volunteering with Forever Stars after seeing the support the charity provided to close friends following the loss of their daughter. Over the years, she has supported fundraising events, workshops, craft clubs, and Sip & Paint sessions — helping families build friendships and connections with people who truly understand.

Tackling Tears Together Cup 2026

Two baby loss charities. One shared mission. One very special evening.

On Friday 19th June, Forever Stars FC and Sands United FC Nottingham will once again go head to head for the Tackling Tears Together Cup. While there will undoubtedly be plenty of competitive spirit on the pitch, this fixture has always been about far more than football.

Taking place just days before Father’s Day, this match shines a light on the men, dads, grandads, brothers, uncles and friends affected by baby loss. It is an opportunity to remember, to reflect and to remind people that no one should have to face baby loss alone.

We are in awe of the incredible work Sands United Nottingham do in supporting bereaved men and are proud to stand alongside them in raising awareness through football.

The evening will also see Forever Stars FC unveil our brand-new kit for the first time, made possible through the kindness and support of our sponsors.

Whether you support Sands, Forever Stars, or simply believe in the importance of supporting families affected by baby loss, we would love to see you there.
