Hello again!
It’s been a little while since I’ve properly introduced what’s happening at The Opaque Elephant, and a lot has been going on, so here’s a little update.
I’ve been spending a lot more time developing creative workshops and accessible art experiences, both locally and online. The aim is simple: making space to experiment, make things, have a chat and enjoy being creative without worrying about whether you’re “good at art”.
Over the coming weeks and months, I’ll be sharing more about:
Adult Art Club
Relaxed, experimental art sessions where we explore different materials and ideas together. No previous experience needed, and no expectation that everyone makes the same thing. These are run with the support of Ashfield Creates & we now have dates right through until November.
Online Creative Workshops
Creative activities you can join from home, with guided exploration. These are focused mostly on providing you with a block of time to get creative with low pressure. Lessons from Nature sessions are back from September!
Private Workshops & Creative Parties
Book a creative session for birthdays, celebrations, friendship groups or simply an excuse to get together and make something.
Creative Wellbeing & Community Workshops
Accessible, thoughtful creative activities for community groups, organisations and wellbeing settings. I’ll be opening up bookings for one-off or regular programming.
Corporate & Team Workshops
Creative activities designed to give teams a chance to step away from the usual work routine, try something different and actually spend some time doing something together. These can be tailored to creative thinking or wellbeing, and bookings will be opening soon.
Of course, I’ll still be popping up at events, festivals and community activities around the local area with workshops and trinkets galore.
You can expect plenty of experimental art, unusual materials, nature-inspired activities, collaborative making and the occasional bit of witchy weirdness along the way.
I’ll be sharing dates, booking information and new workshops here as they’re released, so if you’re interested in joining a session, bringing a workshop to your group, or just seeing what I get up to, keep your eyes peeled for future updates ^^,
