Really excited to (formally) announce the next round of my Adult Art Club starting next week!

Thanks to the support of Ashfield Creates I'm able to offer free art sessions for adults in Ashfield that celebrate the pure joy of creation without pressure. This month, I'll be helping participants explore art as a journalling practice in Trinity Methodist Church (Kirkby-in-Ashfield) from 11am on Saturday 16th May.

Wholesome weekend dump post!
Went for a wellbeing walk with some of the Enterprising Ashfield cohort, visited White Post Farm & got a huge bag of wool (craft projects everywhere), then rounded it off with a walk in Portland Park to admire some bluebells and splash in streams
Hoping the sunshine is here to stay 👀

One of my favourite things to do when I have no idea what to create is to throw some ink on a page and mess around with it. It's a bit like watching a story unfold sometimes - always morphing, changing, developing.
It's a neat way to experiment, and I find that the unpredictability of inks takes off a lot of pressure with creating. I just wait for it to stop moving and try to figure out what is happening, then paint or draw around it.

Perfect for people like me who love making a mess and creating, but don't have a knack for drawing or realism 😅

Some inky experiments from today's session ✨️
This morning, we had buckets of fun playing with acrylic inks. They all have different finishes, so you can never really predict how something will turn out. Very much a go with the flow (of ink) experience with lots of transformation.
