Pensions crisis update:
The Cabinet Office has confirmed that members of the Civil Service Pension Scheme who have experienced unacceptable delays will be eligible to receive compensation for distress and inconvenience.
Details of the scheme and how to claim are to be announced.

The Pension Ombudsman has the power to direct the Civil Service Pension Scheme to compensate members for maladministration.
PCS is continuing to press the Cabinet Office on the pension scheme crisis and to demand the best possible outcomes for scheme members, including redress for the suffering, distress and financial problems caused.

CIVIL SERVICE PENSION SCHEME CRISIS

Pension scheme members can now apply for Interest free loans if they are still waiting for payment of their civil service pensions.

The introduction of interest free loans of £5000 will hopefully alleviate the financial distress.
