THANKYOU THANKYOU 🌼🌻🌼

Sneinton is well and truly havin a lil spring moment.

Bulbs are bloomin, euphorbias burstin, hellebores, pulmonarias, you name it, we all planted it and they are popping off.

So we just wanted say a massive big ups to each and every person who came through and supported us in creating all this, we love ya and cant wait to keep crackin on.

Could not do it without yas.

We've planted way over a few thousand bulbs across our city gardens last autumn, and to think they're gonna keep on giving us joy now for the years to come makes it all absaaallooootely worth it.

Our next community session is next Sat, well he creating a big ole' wildflower meadow, and then soon well be announcing news for our big community event in April, yay.

BIG UP

We're back this Saturday folks.

With lots to do, people to see and a Wilder Sneinton to nurture, we're back with another community session hosted by the wonderful

If ya fancy having a lovely ode time supporting us in creating an ecologically vibrant and connected Sneinton then come say ayup.

We run these sessions routinely on the last Saturday of each and every month so if ya can't make this one, keep em peeled for the next.

We're super super proud of all we've done so far, and we've been using these sessions to keep the momentum, get the thoughts and ideas of all the lovely folk who come along and to move forward in spreading happiness and green stuff in the place we call home.

See ya Saturday x

WE'VE BEEN WHIPPING UP HABITATS 🐝

For the past couple of years we've been designing / supplying / installing solitary bee habitats (in various forms), and with another 4 going out this week we'd thought we'd have a shout about it.

These habitats offer important nesting site for various precious Solitary Bee species (and other insects), and atleast we think they look bloody beautiful.

As soon as we slot em in it feels like theyve always been there, we love the structure / variety they provide especially over winter, and we've seen them used so so much now across the city which makes us very very happy.

Solitary Bees don't live in hives, each female makes her own nest, often in small holes in wood, soil or stems. They're gentle, hardworking pollinators that play a vital role in supporting biodiversity and pollination.

In picture 7 you can see from the type of nesting material, that it's likely to be a leaf cutter bee, of which there are 7 species in the UK. Leaf cutter bees can use upto 40 species of leaf within just one nesting cell, and is a common species for us to be able to support with human made habitats.

If you've got a garden, public space, community space where you want to heighten it's ecological impact, and bring a bit of visual joy then give us a shouttt.

Full hearts after Friday night πŸ’š

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Wild About Sneinton potluck.
What a lovely way to spend an evening. Shared food, big chats, new faces and familiar ones all round the same table.

These moments are exactly what Wild About Sneinton is about. Making space for people to connect, feel welcome, and help shape what this project becomes next.

The conversations, ideas and energy in the room reminded us why community really is the root of everything we do.

Thank you to everyone who cooked, everyone who came straight from work, everyone who brought stories, curiosity and smiles. And to the Salvation Army for hosting us.

This is just the start. More growing, more gatherings, more Sneinton grub sharing to come.

WE DID A NICE THING πŸ“£πŸ“£πŸ“£

Ourselves, , & have had the absolute pleasure of transforming this telephone box into something we think is very very lovely.

We wanted to do something that felt right, purposeful and brought a lil magic, and with that the project was centred around the theme of Hope and Transformation.

The phonebox is a blend of artwork from , participants from workshops with alongside maps & key contact information for people to get support across notts, curated by

As a group over the last month we've

- Installed artwork designed by all the amazing workshop participants

Loved every minute of this project and really do think its brought a bit of brightness to our cityyyy.

Massive thankyou to framework for adopting the phonebox, and for for all there support, sponsorship and for getting us in to deliver the project.

WE ARE LOVIN ❀️ πŸ’š πŸ’™

We want everyone, anyone and all of us to use the new greenspaces we've nurtured to do the things they love, are inspired by or that they think will support growing the spaces.

These spaces aren't "ours" as in grownotts' they are everyone's. We've built a fair bit of confidence over the years to crack on and treat public spaces like our own, and explore our own interests within them.

And this outlook something we hope too share, nurture and explore in lovely sneinton.

Someone asked us if there was any way they could help with what we're up to in Sneinton, and I said how's about you do whatever you feel inspired tooo but through the lens of gardensss. And this was the magic that transpired, alongside community art making at our event too.

I guess im just waffling a few of the things on my mind at the moment.

Point is, these spaces are OURS and we should treat them/ relate to them as such. And how can we go furthering this feeling?

AV' A BUTCHERS.

Thanku thanku thanku left lion for your lovely piece about something that means the world to us.

Bloody chuffed and proud as punch to be reading the wonderful piece written by in this month's left lion.

As someone who's been a supporter and reader for years, it's very very nice to know the stuff we're upto is worthy of being spread across Notts in the written form.

Our Autumnal Wild About Sneinton was a wholesome, warming and inspiring affair, and it felt like the piece really captured that.
