The children’s mental health crisis in numbers:

🔴 Referrals up almost 10% in just one year
⏳ More than 1 in 3 children are still waiting for treatment
📅 60,000+ children waiting over two years for help — that’s 15,000 more than last year
⌛ 128 days is the typical wait for support
📈 Demand partly linked to suspected autism and neurodevelopmental conditions

Mental health discrimination is on the rise! This is primarily due to a sharp increase in workplace-related disputes, intense post-pandemic economic pressures, and strained healthcare systems. This surge is driven by several critical factors:

🚩 Workplace Conflicts: Mental health issues have overtaken age as the leading cause of discrimination claims in the workplace. There is a crucial disconnect between employees expecting better mental health support and employers attempting to scale back flexible working arrangements in a bid to optimise results.

🚩 Economic Pressures: Rising business costs and economic instability have led many organizations to become less accommodating to staff with mental health conditions.

🚩 Strained Healthcare Systems: Overwhelmed healthcare services and long waiting lists for mental health support have reduced public optimism about recovery, inadvertently increasing stigma and prejudice against those with mental illness.
